Inspiring all women to be independent, The founder of Sriya Designs-Ramya Ramachandran is building her design Empire from the ground up. Coming from a culture that has a strong stigma of chasing after high-end careers in the medical or Tech industry,  Ramya has broken all barriers in the household name. Sriya Designs specializes in commercial, residential and hospitality Interior design. An all woman-owned company; adding on her first 2 employees, earlier this year, Ramya has a vision to hire, support and work with like-minded, talented individuals such as herself. She often collaborates with small woman-owned business and believes in the power of teamwork.

At a very young age, Ramya knew she was an odd duckling and needed to create her own career path. The freedom to break-free from monotony was finally shattered though her company, where she is able to blend her knowledge in several areas of expertise. Sriya Designs is innovative, bold and always welcoming to new and challenging concepts. This year alone, Ramya has been able to work on several large-scale projects to add to her portfolio of clients, such as Google, Facebook, Common Health-care organizations, an International Hospitality Hotel Chain, Comfort Inn, Quality Inn and small-scale hotels. She also knows her strengths and weakness as a business owner and often keeps tabs on her competitors to distinguish herself from the rest. She and her team thrive in the urgency of speed, accuracy and being empathetic and grateful to her clients.

When asked about advice to share with other Entrepreneur women and the AYG community, it is “to start somewhere, anywhere, mark your footprint and believe in your dreams.”

She maybe doing business backwards, but she knows she has established trust with her close-knit network of clients to begin focusing on other areas of her business; growth, marketing and business development.
