PTSD – Post traumatic stress disorder
$Request Consultation
There are other reasons for hormone decline other than age. Many veterans and athletes have experienced head injuries which led to or worsened PTSD (Post Traumatic Stress Disorder). People with minor to severe head trauma from car accidents to sporting events may have decline in their hormones. The hormone changes can contribute to symptoms of PTSD and mood changes months or years after the traumatic incident. Many people have no idea that the accident or head trauma contributed to the hormone decline which may be the cause for the mood changes and fatigue. Lack of energy is one of the most common findings of PTSD.
Bioidentical hormones, administered through a physician prescribed treatment plan, will help you to get your life back and give you a fresh start.
Dr. Melinda Silva has access to specialized testing that can evaluate hormones and neurotransmitters that may be responsible for your energy and mood changes. The specialized tests will suggest what amino acids, supplements or non prescription botanicals may be helpful with mood changes and fatigue.
