No Need to Frown with FROWNIES!
BeautyI recently came across a cool product which has been around for more than a century, and after using it a few times I’m a believer! FROWNIES are simple to use, cheap, vegan, cruelty-free, painless and not invasive. Although, they may be a tad uncomfortable to remove if you have sensitive skin.
FROWNIES are facial patches that aim to reduce wrinkles on your face. It has the same effect like Botox, but on the outside of the face. So instead of injecting the muscle to temporarily paralyze it, FROWNIES work on the outside by training the muscles and by constricting the facial movements.
All the patches are made of a stiff, thin paper. The patches react with water and as they dry, they will become harder. This will create a stiff patch that will restrain the facial muscles from frowning, squinting and other repetitive facial movements that can contribute to wrinkles and fine lines.
Here’s how to apply them before your get your beauty sleep.
132 years and still going strong – that’s a pretty solid track record for FROWNIES. I always enjoy learning the history of products and FROWNIES definitely has a cool story.
FROWNIES were created in 1889 after Margaret Kroesen discovered that her daughter, Alice a concert pianist, had developed unsightly frown lines. Kroesen, a woman of beauty and ingenuity created B & P Company (Beauty and Personality) and launched her beauty line.
FROWNIES Facial Patches for the forehead and between the eyes and wrinkles for the corners of the eyes and mouth, remained a relatively well-kept beauty secret between Broadway and Hollywood stars and makeup artists.
Alice, after using her mother’s amazing invention, was a living testimony, and it became clear that women and men everywhere could benefit from these wrinkle eradicators as they were called at the time. Continuing the legacy following her mother and grandmother in business, Kroesen redesigned and updated the packaging for FROWNIES, never altering the formula which had proven so effective.
Naturopath, Nutritional Consultant, Author and Wellness Educator Kat Wright is acting CEO/General Manager of B & P Company. A fifth-generation woman to carry this family owned and operated commitment to women, FROWNIES legacy continues.
The FROWNIES brand originates from a single woman creating a product for all women that would give them a little control over their beauty, even at a time when women couldn’t vote. The women honored other women and stood in their strength and uniqueness, and we at Ask Your Girls love their legacy.
