As I started 2024, I had a deep desire to create a lifestyle of holistic harmony. I wanted to find a balance between my personal and professional life and cultivate a sense of inner peace and purpose.
Upon reading Atomic Habits by James Clear, I was struck by a quote that resonated deeply with me:
“The purpose of setting goals is to win the game. The purpose of building systems is to continue playing the game. True long-term thinking is goal-less thinking. It’s not about any single accomplishment. It is about the cycle of endless refinement and continuous improvement. This quote made me realize that my focus should be on building sustainable systems and habits, rather than just setting goals. I began to reflect on my own life and business and identified areas where I could implement this philosophy.
As a Social Media & AI Strategist and Meditation Life Coach, I’ve learned that efficiency systems and mindfulness practices are key to thriving.
3 S’s for Holistic Soulful Success
In our fast-paced world, it’s easy to get lost in the hustle and forget to nourish our inner spark. That’s why I shared my secrets for soulful success, focusing on the often-overlooked “soul” aspect. After all, a happy soul is the best accessory to any outfit!
As a work-in-progress myself, I’m no stranger to feeling overwhelmed, isolated, and anxious. But I’ve learned to lean on my mindfulness tools to navigate life’s challenges. And, I’m committed to continuous self-improvement and sharing my insights with others – because, let’s be real, we’re all in this together!
That’s why I created the “Holistic 3 S Solution” – a harmonious blend of efficiency systems and mindfulness practices. This trifecta of awesomeness is built on three core principles:
- Stay Strategically Soulful: Stay aligned with your purpose through mindful intention, which means being present and fully engaged in the current moment. Craft a lifestyle and habits that authentically align with your core values. For example, I set up my “sacred space” to encourage meditation as my first action for the day. It’s akin to setting out your workout clothes the night before to encourage the exercise habit. If you’re a digital solopreneur, craft content that authentically aligns with your values, represents your brand, and ensures your messaging effectively guides your audience to take action that truly serves them. - Streamline Relentlessly: Remove distractions, simplify your environment, and laser-focus on what truly matters. To support my daily routine, I’ve streamlined a series of habits that help me stay focused and productive.
- Systemize for Sustainability: One of my favorite quotes from Atomic Habits is, “You don’t rise to the level of your goals, you fall to the level of your systems.” This deeply intuitive system applies to all aspects, holistically, to our lives – whether it’s our personal life or business. My morning routine is supported by “systems” that include my iPhone Notes, Insight Timer (where you can find my guided meditations), and Atomic Habits app, which I use to log my daily habits, such as my meditation length and observations about my mindset. This helps me track my progress, identify patterns, and make adjustments to maintain consistency in my mindfulness practice. As a solopreneur, we have the opportunity to utilize systems to work more intelligently by leveraging tools like AI-powered content creators, enabling us to optimize workflows, maintain consistency, and free up mental space to operate in our zone of genius.
