Hi, I’m Megan! A lifetime sewist with a passion for handcrafting & a love for lavish fabric. I am encouraged daily by my little ones to use creativity, care, and love in every stitch! I named PRPL Turtle Co (formerly SewMad Designs) in honor of them, with their initials spelling ‘PRPL’ and turtles have been a part of my life since I was their age. I started this business with my mother (Mama Sue!) as 2nd & 3rd generation sewists, in hopes to pass it on to the 4th. Mama Sue remains my partner in crime, biggest supporter, and fix it fairy! 😉

My creations primarily consist of cork bags, purses, wallets, and other functional accessories! I discovered cork fabric early on in my sewing journey and it has been my favorite material to work with. Stylish, eco-friendly, & practical for all consumers. Being able to share my creations with all of you is such a blessing.

In my spare time, you will find me crafting & playing with my two daughters, working on my house, swooning over my dog, or spending time outside!
